- Optimization of liners diameter on the basis of flue gas data, required pressure at interface of external duct / liner and top exit velocity
- Temperature profile through the chimney components
- Temperature gradients / thermal stress of brick liners under steady and transient conditions
- Optimization of transition piece connecting external ducts to liners

- Flue gas temperature loss from inlet to top
- Ventilation of windshield inner space by natural / forced draft.
2) Structural design according to recognized International Standards and local design codes for:
- Reinforced concrete foundation slabs and piling

- Installation of internal brick liners using suspended working platforms certified by authorities
- Construction of internal concrete slabs and / or steel platforms
- Installation of internal brick liners using suspended working platforms certified by authorities or fabrication of internal steel liners and assembling at ground level

5) Supervision at site, start up procedures and commissioning
Concrete Chimney Repair Works
Inspections, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and upgrading of existing industrial chimneys. For such works the Company can provide:
1) Revamping and repowering design for:
- Re-sizing of liners on the basis of new operating conditions
- Definition of antiacid / thermal protection of liners according to the new operating conditions by calculation of the modified thermal profile through all chimney components
- Control of liners internal pressure along flue gas path
- Control of ventilation efficiency under the new operating conditions
2) Structural design verification for:
- Stability and structural capacity of windshield and liners under operating conditions
- Chimneys retrofitting under new design or change of operating conditions
- Repair works on the basis of inspection reports including recommendations and maintenance programs
- Provisional access facilities to elevated working areas according to local design codes and safety regulations

Refractory Works
Inspections, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and upgrading of existing industrial chimneys. For such works the Company can provide:
1) Design for:
- Insulating and refractory linings in accordance to the specification issued for each project including detailed construction drawings and bill of materials
- Thermal calculations based on specified operating conditions
2) Selection of the construction materials suitable for the operating service conditions:
- Definition of lining composition according to the above thermal calculations
- Selection of suitable refractory materials, steel supports and anchors according to material properties and imposed operating condition
3) Construction at site using qualified team and equipments:
- Planning of site activities
Brick linings installation by wide experienced team
- Abrasion resistant linings applied by hand packing method

Steel Chimneys
Each steel chimney is designed according to the customer’s special requirements and demands, and the design is based on the national standards in force and the project specifications. Steel chimneys are developed according to various principles of construction of which the following are the principles we use most frequently:
1) Freestanding double walled steel chimneys with a statical
structural shell with a flue gas leading insulated liner: This solution is technically good, due to the separation of the structural external shell and the flue gas leading insulated liner. Furthermore it is possible to choose from different types of materials, dependent on the flue gas composition and temperature. This solution can be extended with more liners with outlets from more boiler plants. The external shell can be given a surface treatment according the customer’s wishes.
2) Freestanding double walled steel chimneys built together according to the customer’s wishes and requirements when the customers need outlets from more boiler plants: This solution is an architecturally good solution that includes many individual variations of design.
3) Freestanding single walled steel chimneys made of different materials dependent on the use: These chimneys are mainly used as ventilation chimneys for ventilation systems and as towers for mounting of antennae for the telecommunication industry.
4) Insulated steel liners to be mounted into existing or new-built brick and concrete chimneys: By means of this solution, an existing brick or concrete chimney can be made environmentally correct.
5) The noise absorbers are designed according to the demands of the authorities to control noise; they are made as round pylon dampers or baffle dampers.
6) Ductings made as a total solution: We design and supply ducting including support, compensators, dampers, noise absorbers etc. Furthermore we offer the insulation and cladding to be included in the total package.
